Tuesday Mornings at The Little Sandbox in Wayne, NJ

Multisensory Reading & Early Literacy Class

10 Week Session September 15th - November 17th, 2026

Students will develop phonological awareness, foundational reading skills, and a love of books through:

• Letter of the Week

• Phonics Lesson tailored to age group

• Show & Tell

• Music & Movement

• Interactive story time

• Hands-on craft

• Themed sensory play

• Sound scavenger hunt in the private sandbox

• Curated materials sent home to extend learning

• One hour of open play after class in the main sandbox

NOTE: 9:00 and 9:40 classes require a caregiver to be present in the room. Pre-Readers and Kindergarten classes are soft separation - a caregiver must be in the building but will not be in the classroom (there are viewing areas to watch the class if you’d like)

• 9:00 Tiny Tots : Ages 1 and 2 with a caregiver

• 9:30 Mixed Ages : Ages 5 & Under with a caregiver

• 10:30 or 12:30 Pre-Readers: Ages 3-4 (soft separation)

• 11:30 Emergent Readers: Ages 4.5-6 (soft separation)
